Rapper announces new single "I’m Trying", drops Friday, Feb. 10

He will make his presence known this year with a slow-tempo Hip-hop jam titled “I’m Trying”.

The skyrocketing rapper who is known for his prodigious bars made the announcement this week and revealed the motivation behind the track.

Killerz Vypa revealed in an interview that the track talks about his emotions and frustrations in his music career despite all efforts. “'I'm Trying' talks about my struggles and fears. It expresses my emotions; being sad, happy and angry about my career for not being able to reach the top and still feeling like I'm still stuck after all these performances, rap battles, music videos, tracks, interviews and good feedbacks from friends, relatives and fans,” he said.

On what motivated him, Vypa divulged: “My motivations are mostly based on the people around me

Those that cherish and respect me for how talented I am, those looking down on me and criticising me, those that think I'm too arrogant and proud, and especially my girlfriend who never believes in me and calls me 'lazy' for choosing music as my profession rather than a regular job.”

He further urged his fans to be patient because he has good records coming out. “To my fans, I know you've been looking up for some crazy records but I've  been slow for you guys and things ain't easy for me but I just want to tell you that 'I'm Trying' my possible best to deliver you quality goods,” Vypa concluded.

The song produced by Vypa himself, will be released on Friday, February 10. It will first be premiered on DJ Aroma’s “Friday Nyt Flex” show on YFM before hitting online.
