Cassper Nyovest and Diamond sweep the 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards with 3 nods each

The much-anticipated 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards has ended in Johannesburg, South Africa with some few surprises and a lot of fun and excitement. The ceremony which witnessed exciting performances from some of Africa’s biggest music stars including AKA, Davido, Patoranking and Tiwa Savage and many others saw Tanzania’s Diamond winning 4 awards on the night including Most Gifted East Africa, Most Gifted Newcomer, Most Gifted Afropop.

Also winning 3 nods was South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest for his hit ‘Doc Shebeleza’. He picked up the biggest award of the night, Most Gifted Music Video of the year, as well as Most Gifted Male and Most Gifted Southern Africa. Surprisingly, Davido couldn’t pick up any award as many people expected. He lost on the Most Gifted West Africa award to Olamide.
