The number of schools have increased, but the contestants have reduced from three to two, the quiz mistress have changed twice and the quiz format has undergone significant restructuring.

However, one thing that has been constant is the theme song of the quiz.

The iconic tune reminds every listener of the quiz as the song is played throughout the beginning of the contest and within breaks between the different rounds.

The title of that classical piece is "Voi Che Sapete Che cosa è amor" which translates from Italian to English as “You know what love is”.

"Voi Che Sapete Che cosa è amor" appears in Act Two of Mozart’s popular comic Opera "Le nozze di Figaro" (The Marriage of Figaro).

The classical composition was released in 1786 and has been performed by many Opera performers including Cecilia Bartoli, Agnes Baltsa, and Maria Ewing.

In 1984, the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti won a Grammy for Best Opera Recording.
