Wanlov the Kubolor talks Ghana muisc industry on Pulse TV

Wanlov the Kulor says 'they' will kill the president of the Musicians Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour, if he tries to do the right thing as the president of the musicians union.

According to Wanlov, there are some people he describes as 'mafias' in the music industry and if Obour tries to do the right thing, 'they' will assassinate him.

In a one-on-one interview on Pulse TV, the "Fokn Country" singer advised Obour to 'do his job and not be afraid to be killed.'

"He (Obour) should do his job and not be afraid to be killed...because they may kill him," Wanlov advised.

He cited President John Dramani Mahama as an example saying 'if he does his job well, corporate bodies and mafias will assassinate him'.

"If Mahama (President) tries to do his job, there are firms and mafias that will try to kill him. Right now, the world is run by many mafias. I always talk about conspiracies.

"When you take one thing like one rubber polythene which is polluting the environment, I am very sure it is an Asian country behind these plastics. If Mahama decides to ban these plastic companies, he will get a lot of pressure and threats from the companies because it's about to spoil their business. So they will rather bribe him."So that's what is happening in the movie industry and other industries," Wanlov stated.

He earlier commented on Obour's performance as MUSIGA president saying I think Obour is doing something different," he rumoured "I heard he is driving different cars everyday. He is doing something well."

Wanlov thinks the music industry is lacking a few things under Obour's stewardship which have prevented the industry from progressing.

"In Ghana, there's no structure to help artistes and people have access to good music because most of the people who really do good music do not have financial support to pay TV and radios to air their creations," Wanlov told Pulse TV.
