Cape Coast Welcomes VGMA Nominees Jam

This year, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 'Nominees Jam' stage will be ignited for music fans who are expected to throng the Victoria Park in Cape Coast on Saturday, March 21, evening.

Since its inception, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Nominees Jam train has toured major cities across the country, livening up the cities visited and at the same time, giving the awards scheme a national feel.This year, the stage will be ignited for music fans who are expected to throng the Victoria Park in Cape Coast on Saturday, March 21, evening.Patrons will be treated to performances from a list of nominees including Stonebwoy, Edem, EL and D-Black, Mz Vee, Selina Boateng, Gifty Osei, and Afriyie.As was introduced last year in Koforidua, the unsung artistes will also be given the chance to mount the stage with their “senior colleagues” to compete for the attention and votes of the public.The Unsung category was instituted last year by the organisers, Charterhouse as a way of encouraging budding talents who are yet to break into the limelight.MzVee, Best New Artiste and Artiste of the Year nominee this year, made her debut appearance on the VGMA stage as an unsung artiste in Koforidua.This year, with talents like Koo Ntakra, Kingzkid, Mz Yankey, Nero X, Luther and Dark Suburb all in contention, the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Unsung category will definitely rock like none other.The Nominees Jam promises to be a thrilling night of exciting and mind blowing performances. Cape coast will get a taste of two music worlds, the nominees’ world of music and the unsung world of music.
