Dancehall Artiste Says He Is Grateful To Ghana Music Awards Organisers

Fast-rising Ghanaian dancehall sensation, Vybrant Faya, has expressed his profound gratitude to the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Fast-rising Ghanaian dancehall sensation, Vybrant Faya, has expressed his profound gratitude to the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), The GN People’s Choice Awards and other awards for recognising his efforts and nominating him in their respective schemes, Daily Guide has learned.Vybrant Faya picked two nominations, Artiste of The Year and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of The Year at this year’s VGMA.Speaking about his nomination, the ‘Mampi’ hit maker hinted that the board of the VGMA should be applauded for demonstrating confidence in the dancehall genre but most importantly that they’ve shown support for promising brands.The dancehall artiste, who believes his inclusion in the awards is as a result of his hard work stressed that Ghanaian music fans have accepted his style of music.The VGMAs, which is Ghana’s premier musical recognition scheme, is scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, April 11, 2015, where a number of Ghana’s top musical talents and industry players would converge to reward excellence in musical performance for the year 2014.Seen as the next big thing to steer the African dancehall culture, Vybrant Faya’s song ‘Mampi’, which continues to enjoy massive airplays since its release has made several headlines in home and abroad.The song was nominated in the recently held 2015 Ghana DJ Awards for the category of Best DJ Song For The Year 2014 and also as Best People’s Song in the upcoming GN People’s Choice Award.Vybrant Faya’s management, Shatta Movement Family, has expressed its appreciation to his fans, especially those in the ghettos and lovers of dancehall music for accepting his brand of music, which preaches respect, tolerance and positive lifestyle.“We’re thankful to the VGMA Board for supporting Ghana music and giving it the needed recognition without which our music will suffer,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SMF, Cypha Wellington said.Fans and supporters can vote for Vybrant Faya by texting C VybrantFaya to short code 1767 for him win New Artiste of the Year 2015 and also text C Mampi to vote for the song to win Best Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year 2015.Watch Vybrant Faya perform his hit single 'Mampi' at the Ghana Dj Awards 2015
