Wiyaala, Dark Suburb & AJ Nelson illuminate +233 with live music

An annual concert dubbed "Wiyaala In Concert" saw a thrilling live performances from Ghana's first alternative Rock band Dark Suburb, youth advocate and rapper AJ Nelson, The Djimba Band and of course, the host Wiyaala.

Three of Ghana's finest live band performers evaded +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Accra on Saturday, December 12 with live music and thrilled hundreds of music lover.

An annual concert dubbed "Wiyaala In Concert" saw a thrilling live performances from Ghana's first alternative Rock band Dark Suburb, youth advocate and rapper AJ Nelson, The Djimba Band and of course, the host Wiyaala.

The curtain was raised by The Djimba Band followed by an eclectic performance from Dark Suburb. The 5-man band took the stage by surprise, performing some of their hits and unknown tracks from their catalogue. They performed their hit "I Dey Feel You Die" to their latest "E Go Be" and half way through their tingling performance, they invited Wiyaala to join them to perform one of their latest singles titled "Mama" featuring her.

The host, Wiyaala took the stage by storm when she appeared in an all-yellow Sisaala costume and calabash bra to end the show. From her debut album, she performed her award-winning track "Tinambanyi" to her latest single featuring MzVee. She also single-handedly performed "This Is Who I Am" -- a track by Moroccan award-winning vocalist, Ahmed Soultan which she was featured on.

However, half way through her performance, she invited AJ Nelson to join her perform their latest charts topping track "Power To The People" for the first time. The duo took it easy, delivering a soul soothing performance.

The event was graced by "No Bear In Heaven" hit maker Atongo Zimba.
