Medikal sets West Hills Mall ablaze with “Disturbation” album signing (Photos)

Kofi Kinaata, King Promise, Kuame Eugene, Pappi of 5Five fame, Walov, Sarkodie, Donzy, and other up and coming artistes were there to support him.

Early this year, Medikal (known in real Samuel Adu Frimpong) made known his plans to release another album for his loyal fans. Prior to the album release, he dropped 5 singles off of “Disturbation”.

“My Album #Disturbation defines the journey. It consists of anything entertaining but reality. I'm dropping this album for those who believed in the struggle, those who doubted our hustle and those who feel it's too early for this.

This is what Mandem wanted, this is what we prayed for. This is why we wailed, this is why we skipped classes but still came out with classics, this is why teachers have been keeping an eagle eye on me since class six, this is why we still use magnifying glasses to see the Mandem who say 'cheers' without glasses.

This is for the street, this is for the youth, this is for the pastor and the priest,” Medikal disclosed ahead of “Disturbation” album signing.

And yes, his highly anticipated album signing happened on Saturday, July 1 at the West Hills Mall, Weija.

I thought it was a musical concert as hundreds of fans trooped in the foyer of the Silverbird Cinemas to purchase his album and celebrate him as well.

Medikal spent over one hour to sign albums with fans. Comedian DKB was there as well to purchase a copy.

Then, the whole event turned.

Medikal mounted a stage with a 5 piece band to perform live for fans and patrons gathered. It came as a surprise because no one expected it and it was first of its kind since album signings were introduced at the venue.

The 7 time Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nominee stood on his feet to perform for almost 4 hours without breaking with his sweetheart Sister Deborah in the mix.

Medikal produced an energetic performance and got the whole patrons singing to both his known and unknown songs.

That wasn’t all!

Kofi Kinaata, King Promise, Kuame Eugene, Pappi of 5Five fame, Walov, Sarkodie, Donzy, and other up and coming artistes hijacked the mic one after the other to set the stage on fire.

Not to forget, there was nearly a stampede when Criss Waddle came after everyone had left the venue. Guarded by heavy security, Criss Waddle pulled all the fans back to the venue to taste the bangers from his catalogue.

Some fans also had a fair share of the whole deal. 3 fans won electronic gadgets for perfectly performing some of Medikal's known and unknown songs.
