According to Perfectual Linnan Labik, creative director of the brand, the collection is inspired by the black and white stripes of the zebra.

Ghanaian fashion label, Roots by Linnan presents its new collection, Northern Zebra fusing smock fabrics known as “fugu”.

“Culture meets couture with our spirited new collection inspired by the regal zebra. The signature black and white pattern of our soft smock fabric evokes harmony, power and understated elegance.”

‘Northern Zebra’ echoes our effortless style and is our most personal and passionate collection yet.”

The lines that run through the pieces make it a sight for sore eyes. However, the menswear pieces are a bit stale as you do not find anything exciting about it.

It’s still an edgy collection but a lot to could have been done to make the pieces more catchy and impressive.

My favourite piece from the collection will be the blazer for both men and women.
