Get ready for some cuteness overload! Many sports men and women had their families in 2017, and Pulse.com.gh is taking a look at the new moms and dads, starting with Serena Wlliams.

Serena Williams

Tennis legend Serena, 35, and her fiance Alexis have welcomed their baby girl. She's been named after her dad and her mum, in a way: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

Serena announced on 20 April 2017 that she was 20 weeks along, and she apparently gave birth at the beginning of September.

Serena's pregnancy news was doubly amazing, as fans realised she would have been 8 weeks pregnant when she won the Australian Open.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Portuguese footballer Ronaldo, 32, welcomed twins Eva and Mateo via a surrogate in July.

It has also been confirmed that his girlfriend, 23-year-old Georgina Rodriguez, has given birth to a baby girl named Alana Martina Ronaldo.

The new arrival makes the Real Madrid superstar a dad of 4. He currently has a son named Cristiano Jr, and the twins. This baby is Georgina's 1st.

Russel Westbrook

It was a boy for Russell Westbrook!

The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard and his wife Nina became parents to a son named Noah Russell Westbrook, whom they welcomed in May.

The new parents announced the birth on social media, captioning a black-and-white photo of their baby boy’s feet.

Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli has much to celebrate after becoming a second-time dad in September.

The 27-year-old footballer's girlfriend Clelia gave birth to a baby boy named Lion in Zurich, Switzerland.

Mario - who also has four-year-old daughter Pia with Italian TV personality Raffaella Fico - appeared to hail his new arrival on Instagram, posting an image of a stairway to heaven with a caption reading '#FELICITA', which translates to 'happiness'.

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella

"Total Divas" stars Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan became parents on May 9 when the wrestler gave birth to daughter Birdie Joe Danielson. "There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter.

I can't even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling," Brie told E! in a statement.

Jamie Vardy

Rebekah Vardy gave birth to a baby boy in January. Her husband, Leicester City and England footballer Jamie, announced the arrival of their second child together on Twitter.

He wrote: 'Over the moon to announce the arrival of our gorgeous little boy on Sunday evening! Mummy and baby doing great! @RebekahVardy #blessed'

Jamie and Rebekah Vardy are both also parents to Sofia, 22 months.
