A pregnant woman in Enugu State in Nigeria have been arrested for allegedly pouring hot water on her co-tenant as a pay back for looking at her nakedness.

Pregnant Woman Pours Hot Water On Neighbour For Peeping
A pregnant woman, has been arrested over allegation of assault on her neighbour, whom she said spied on her while she was taking her bath.

According to the police report, the suspect Mercy Chintua committed the act to punish the victim for allegedly spying on her while she was taking her bath.
The incident, which occurred on February 23 2015 caused grievous bodily harm on the victim, Emmanuel Anyaebe.
She claimed that the victim saw her nakedness and that to make him pay for that, she boiled water and poured it on him.

The suspect, however, blamed the devil for her act and asked for forgiveness.
The police spokesman in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, who confirmed the incident, said the victim was now receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
Giving an insight into the incident, Emmanuel expressed shock over her neighbour’s action.
According to him, “I don’t have any problem with either the woman or her husband.
“It all started when I was going to take my bath but the woman prevented me from gaining entrance into the bathroom.

“I quickly went and reported to her husband, After complaining to the husband, I went back to the bathroom and the woman rushed with a bucket of hot water and splashed it on me”.
