A woman believed to be in her forty's on Monday morning slipped into a gutter in front of the Faanofa branch of the Societe General Bank injuring her left leg in the process.

Her left foot slipped into the metallic gutter slab laid in front of the bank when she stepped out of a Taxi to transact business at the bank.

When several attempts to get her foot out of the gutter proved futile, she called for help.

Further attempts by various passersby came to her rescue but their attempts were not enough to help the fair-coloured lady out of the gutter.

A Taxi Driver who drove the lady to the Bank, Phillip Atiemo told Adomonline.com in an interview that the incident happened at exactly 10:30 AM.

He said he picked the lady from Abeka Junction in Accra and was asked to wait for her while she went into the bank for transactions.

“However, I heard her calling me to help her some minutes after she stepped out of the taxi…that was how I realized she was in great pain after slipping into the gutter…,” he said.

‘My customer could have either died or severely injured herself if the gutter was very deep’.

It however remains unclear whether the lady would be compensated by the bank or not
