Although she was reluctant, her uncle removed her underwear and inserted his penis into her vagina.

“…I started bleeding and he gave me kalypo to drink but the blood did not stop. He smeared some medicine on my vagina but I still bled profusely and now, my vagina was burning because of the medicine."

Her uncle Kofi Sekyi also known as Samuel Inkoom has denied raping his niece.

He claimed the child woke him up one dawn complaining of bleeding.

Realising the severity of the bleeding, he called the girl’s father who happens to be his junior brother to inform him.

The prosecutor, Chief Assumani was baffled by Kofi Sekyi's statement.

He explained that his statement in court is in sharp contrast with an earlier statement he made at the police station where he admitted defiling the girl.

The presiding judge, Lydia Osei-Marfo has requested a relative who happens to play a lead role in taking the girl to the hospital to appear before the court for questioning.

She has adjourned the case to Thursday 30th April, 2015.
