Former NDC MP Namoale in trouble over family photo

In the said photograph, Namoale is seen with his three daughters and wife. However, his hand was positioned on his wife’s chest and that has got many Ghanaians complaining.

The former Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon constituency, Nii-Amasah Namoale has come under public criticism over what many has described as an inappropriate family portrait he posted on Facebook Sunday morning.

In the said photograph, Namoale is seen with his three daughters and wife. However, his hand was positioned on his wife’s chest and that has got many Ghanaians complaining.

One of his followers, Michael Ohene said: "Honourable the pic is nice but where you placed your right hand doesn't speek well of you at all..... pls remove this pic ryt now!!!" [sic].

But Namoale said there is nothing wrong with the position of his hand in the photograph and hence he will not delete it.

"She my wife and I don't feel ashame at all. I love her I have paid for where my hand is 26 years ago," [sic] Namoale said.

Other followers, however, feel that the position of his hand was not intentional.

As one follower, Linda Gyamfi put it: “Why should he remove it? Maybe it wasn't even intentional.”

Namoale lost the La Dadekotopon Parliamentary seat after serving three terms to the New Patriotic Party's Vincent Sowah Odotei during the 2016 elections.

He has subsequently declared his intention to contest for the presidency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020.
