Ex Convict And Two Others In Police Custody For Snatching A Taxi

An Ex convict David Martey, alias Teye Raja, 25, and his accomplices Nana Peter Dadson, 43, and Eric Paa Kwesi Essien, alias Ali, 26 – are in the custody of the Accra Regional Police Command

A month old ex convict after he was released from prison custody has been arrested for joining two other persons snatching a taxi from its driver.

The suspect, ex convict David Martey, alias Teye Raja, 25, and his accomplices Nana Peter Dadson, 43, and Eric Paa Kwesi Essien, alias Ali, 26 – are in the custody of the Accra Regional Police Command.

According to reports the three hired the services of a taxi driver from Adabraka Old Timers Spot to Mamprobi and then to Dansoman on January 10, 2015.

However, they got to Mamprobi, the three suspects ordered him to stop and he obliged, Nana Peter Dadson who was sitting in the front seat, turned off the ignition while the two accomplices who were at the back threatened the driver with a machete and ordered him to get out of the vehicle.

After getting off the driver of the taxi with the registration number GW 5455-11.shouted for help which draw the attention of some residents in the area

They immediately called the police who acted swiftly in arresting them.
