Student Pours Acid On Lover

John Kwabla Amedorme, not happy with Cecilia Alevi;s decision went to her house at Dodowa at about 10:00pm have a discussion with her which end with horrific tragedy.

A 26-year old remedial student has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by Tema Circuit Court ‘A’ for intentionally pouring acid on his ex-girlfriend, Cecilia Alevi.

Prosecutor, Assistant State Attorney Joyce Buerkuor Debrah told Tema Circuit Court ‘A’ that the accused John Kwabla Amedorme was in a relationship with the victim until she decided to break up with him, Adom Online reports

The accused, not happy with the decision went to the victim’s house at Dodowa at about 10:00pm on July 25 2013 to have a discussion with her.

He immediately poured acid on her face when she came out of her room and while she attempted to wash it away, he again poured it on her back.

With the help of a co-tenant, the incident was reported to the Police and the accused was subsequently arrested.

Medical report by Dr.Egyir Biney of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital indicated that the acid poured on the victim caused extensive burns to the face, eyes, right breast and ear.

The accused, John Kwabla Amedorme has therefore been given a 30 year jail term for unawfully for causing harm.
