Man, 23, docked for allegedly defiling child
The accused, of no fixed address, is to stand trial on a two-count charge of having unlawful carnal knowledge and indecent assault.
Moshood was said to have forced his fingers into the child’s vagina.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Moses Uademevbo, told court that the accused committed the offences on March 27 at about 8.00 p.m. along Okpesuru rail line at Ikeja.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 135 and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Oluyemisi Adelaja, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned until April 12 for advice from the Lagos Stat director of public prosecutions (DPP).
