Man docked for alleged illegal possession of iron poles
The prosecutor said the suspect was caught with eight iron poles, values yet to be established.

The defendant who resides at Aso, Mararaba in Nasarawa State is facing a charge of illegal possession of poles.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Hamen Donald, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 2 at about 1p.m.
He said that the accused was caught with eight iron poles, values yet to be established.
Donald also said that during interrogation, the accused confessed that it was one steal, surname not known that stole the irons from a site and gave him to sell for him.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 319 of the Penal Code.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge levelled against him.
The judge, Ibrahim Shekarau, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 and one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until May 19, for further hearing.
