10 people have been confirmed dead and at least 20 wounded in a shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, USA.
There is reportedly “no more threat” from the shooter, police spokeswoman told AP.
“I am on campus, a shooter entered a science/English building known as Snyder Hall and proceeded to shoot,” Josh Simonis told BuzzFeed News.
Douglas County Commissioner Chris Boice told CNN that the shooter is in custody. It was not immediately clear whether the shooter was injured.
"We arrived to find multiple patients in multiple classrooms. Law enforcement was on scene and had the shooter neutralized," Douglas County Fire Marshal Ray Shoufler told CNN.
Investigators are examining social media postings made by a man, thought to be in his late 20s, who they believe is the suspect, said a source with knowledge of the investigation.
The night before the attack, the alleged shooter appears to have had a conversation with others online about his intentions, the source said.
The identity of the shooter is still unknown, however social media users are specifying that he is white.
