Relatives of a 25-year-old woman have blamed officials of Suntreso Government Hospital in the Ashanti region for her death.

The deceased, Mabel Konadu was in labour for three days at the facility before her sudden demise.

According to reports, she suffered excessive bleeding and was referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Her distraught mother, Akua Konadu said her daughter could have been saved if doctors at the Suntreso hospital had been proactive.

She insisted that medical personnel failed to refer her daughter to a higher and better equipped hospital when it was obvious her condition had deteriorated.
