A 16 year old teenager of Pennsylvania has been accused of shooting his classmate and then taking a Snapchat selfie with the body.
The Accused Maxwell Morton was arrested following the death of Ryan Mangan in the city of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA, last Wednesday.
The victim, also 16, was found in his home by his mother having been shot once in the face according to media reports.
Morton has been charged as an adult, with first-degree murder, homicide and possession of a firearm by a minor.
According to a police affidavit, a boy who received the alleged photo saved it before the message deleted itself.
Morton confessed to killing Mangan after police searched his home and found a 9mm handgun hidden under the basement steps, according to the Tribune.
A preliminary court hearing for the defendant is due to take place on February 19.
Parents of the deceased boy hope to bury their son within the week.
