A Nigerian doctor in the US¸ Dr. Fidelis I. Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, has been accused of sexual assault by 16 female patients.

16 female patients accuse Nigerian doctor of sexual assault
16 female patients have come forward with allegations that they were sexually assaulted by Dr. Fidelis I. Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, a Nigerian Doctor in North Carolina, United States of America.

According to a Local TV station WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, a woman on Friday, January 2, told police that she went to a medical facility in the 1800-block of Milton Road for a medical examination where she was sexually assaulted by Dr. Uwensuyi-Edosomwan.
On Wednesday, January 14, a second woman reported that she was also sexually assaulted by Dr. Uwensuyi- Edosomwan at a medical facility in the 700-block of West Sugar Creek Road.
52-year-old Dr. Fidelis I. Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, was arrested on Friday, January 30, on sexual offense charges related to two patients - two counts of second-degree sexual offense and three counts of sexual battery and given a $57,500 bond.

Police however said that 14 more women have emerged claiming they were victimized by Uwensuyi-Edosomwan.
According to information on the arrest warrants, Uwensuyi-Edosomwan "unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously engaged in sex offense with victim one by force and against that Victim's will" on Friday, January 2.
The same was also stated for the second victim who claimed that Uwensuyi-Edosomwan "unlawfully and willfully for the purpose of sexual arousal and sexual gratification engaged in sexual contact, by pushing his erect penis onto the [second] victim's hand during a medical examination by force and against the will of the other person."
The warrants state that Uwensuyi-Edosomwan also "rubbed the [second] victim's vagina over her pants with his fingers after a medical examination" and "lifted the [second] victim's shirt and bra and then rubbed her breast during a medical exam without the victim's consent."
During a press conference on Thursday, February 12, investigators said "Both victims reported within the first 24 hours that it occurred and that they were not sedated during the assault.”

Dr. Uwensuyi-Edosomwan has been ordered not to practice medicine until he is given permission to do so by the NC Medical Board President.
