School sergeant arrested for ‘explicit’ Facebook messages with student

A 43-year-old school resource officer, Sgt. Dorell Green, has been arrested for making hundreds of obscene Facebook messages to a female student of Fountain-Fort Carson School District.

According to an arrest affidavit released Wednesday, Green asked the student if she was a virgin and also invited her to join him in bed in some of the messages exchanged between March and April, The Gazette reports.

He was arrested on April 30 after a student told school authorities that he asked her inappropriate questions on Facebook.

She said he asked her uncomfortable questions and messaged until she was forced to reply.

The affidavit states that Green has admitted to sending the messages, agreeing that the discussions could be deemed appropriate.

"[He] admitted to initiating a majority of the messages which numbered in the hundreds and several of which contained sexually explicit discussion," the affidavit read.

In some of the messages, Facebook messages he told the student that he enjoyed seeing her at school and said if he "could go back to being 17, I'd sweep you off your feet."

Green's arrest was made on suspicion of stalking and causing emotional distress and obscenity promotion to a minor.
