2-yr-old girl dies in fire outbreak
An unfortunate 2-year-old girl has been killed in a fire incident that was ignited by residents who stored petroleum products for illegal sale.
The inferno which started in the night, razed the residential building and was said to have been ignited when some gallons of petrol kept in the apartment caught fire.
When the fire broke out, the occupants of the building reportedly ran out for safety but the little girl was trapped inside and she was burnt to death.
A resident of the area said the fuel was kept in apartments by tenants who dealt in illegal fuel sale.
He said:
"The incident happened as a result of the illegal sale of petroleum products by some occupants.
A woman lost her two-year-old daughter to the inferno. Government must do something about people who sold and kept fuel illegally in their homes."
