According to the reports, investigations into the case revealed that the girl who hawks groundnut amongst other wares was impregnated by a man who is yet to be identified, at a construction site in Doma.

Punch reports that the police spokesman said the young girl was chased from home after her parents discovered that she was pregnant.

“She said the man responsible for her pregnancy is married, she could not face him to accept his responsibility and had to go to a woman at Mararaba Akunza, Lafia, who took her in because of her condition.”

Kennedy went on to reveal that the girl had become restless on Monday, October 31, and asked her guardian that she wanted to return to Doma.

After her caregiver gave her N2,000 for transport, the young reportedly ended up at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia on Monday where she delivered her baby and was discharged on Tuesday.
