Two persons with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) have been arrested for allegedly stealing items including blankets and bags of rice.

The night watchman and another employee of NADMO in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region – conspired to steal items stored in the organisation’s warehouse.

According to reports, the duo – believed to be the night watchman and another employee of NADMO in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region – conspired to steal items stored in the organisation’s warehouse.
A source close to Pulse.com.gh revealed that other items meant for disaster victims could not be traced in the warehouse.
NADMO is a body which takes care of people who are one way or the other affected by natural disasters such as floods and fire outbreaks.
The body has gained prominence in the last couple of years for its efforts to donate items to victims.
The two suspects are currently in police custody, having being charged with theft, and will be arraigned before court soon.
