52 year old man jail for 15 years after he pleaded guilty to defiling a 13 year old girl

A 52 year old farm labourer has sentenced a to 15 years imprisonment, for defiling13-year old girl at Sefwi-Akontombra, by the Bibiani Circuit Court.

According to Ghana News Agency reports,the convict, Kombati Damora, pleaded guilty to the crime in the presided over by Mr. Baptise Kwadwo Filson.

Police Chief Inspector Lucky Goglomi told the court that the incident happened on November 11, last year.

The girl had been sent by her big brother to collect cassava from the convict on the farm, when he seized and sexually assaulted her.

The prosecution said when the victim returned she told the story and a formal report was consequently made to the police and he was arrested.
