A statement signed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel A. Bossoh, the Administrator of the Ghana Police Hospital, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the decision is part of the routine measures to decongest the Police Hospital’s morgue.

The statement added that the burial would take place 21 days after the announcement.

The hospital is therefore asking the public to contact the Pathology Department of the hospital for identification of persons who they had not seen for some time.

The statement said this would complement the search to prevent those unknown bodies from being marked for the burial.
