Miami Cuban Americans celebrate death of Fidel Castro

Cuban Americans in Little Havanna in Miami are rejoicing at the death of the Fidel Catro.

Most of them are Cuban immigrants who sought asylum in the USA citing the communist rule of Castro.

Castro came to power after over throwing corrupt American backed Fulgencio Batista.

 

Castro died in Havana aged 90, his brother, President Raul Castro, announced on national television.

 

"The commander in chief of the Cuban revolution died at 22:29 hours this evening," the president announced on national television.

Raul Castro made the announcement just after midnight Friday (0500 GMT Saturday).
