Shatta Movement Family shatters High Grade Family

Shatta Wale's proved to Samini's that apart from music, they've got football talents too. Shatta Movement Family beat High Grade family by a lone goal at the final of this year's Celebrity Soccer Weekend to maintain their trophy at the Lizzys Sports Complex on Saturday, July 11.

High Grade Family fought gallantly at the beginning of the match but were denied of many chances by their keeper. Shatta Wale gave his boys a boost when he finally arrived at the venue.

And just as the game was getting to a close, a Shatta Movement Family forward became the hero of the day when volleyed in a ball to give the Shatta Movement a 1-0 win.

Though Stonebwoy's Bhim Nation were the tournament favourite, they lost out in the semi-final.

Other matches played were The 4Syte Rangers vs. Yfm All Stars in GROUP A, Kwabena Kwabena’s KBKB FC vs. The Prince David Osei led GH Actors All Stars in GROUP B, D-Black’s BAM Nation vs. E.L’s BBNZ Live in GROUP D, Shatta Wale’s Shatta Movement vs. R2Bees Nation in GROUP E and Samini’s Highgrade Family vs. Kwaw Kese’s Mad Time F.C in GROUP F.

The maiden edition of the Celebrity Soccer Weekend showdown which came off in May 2014 was won by Shatta Wale’s Shatta Movement and emerged victorious for the second time in a row.

The Black Avenue Entertainment's second edition of Celebrity Soccer Weekend was sponsored by LiveWire Events and YFM. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to victims of the June 3 floods.
