The inaugural Ghana DJ Expo will be held in March 2017. Merqury Republic and partners have identified the event as a vehicle to position Ghana as an enviable destination for art, entertainment, DJ culture and music. The event is to coincide with Ghana DJ Awards as well as to enhance the prestigious awards scheme itself that is entering its 5th edition by next year.

“This new event will offer platforms for DJs to get informed about new trends and get enlightened on key subjects including the music business, as well as grow the Meeting & Exhibition market segments related to music through an exposition” says Cynthia Ewli, Events Coordinator at Merqury Republic, organizers of the event. “It is our ambition to grow this event into a world recognized annual exposition for the professionals and trade visitors within the international music scene” she added.

Scheduled to be held a day before the Ghana DJ Awards every year, the expo will integrate a trade fair, musical showcases, conferences, exhibitions and networking sessions which would promote the DJ culture and Ghanaian music. The Expo is specifically designed to expose Ghanaian DJs and musicians to the international market through the participation of DJs, music enthusiasts and professionals from other countries.
