MESH Confab is the flagship event of MESH Ghana, with an objective to assemble the very best of Ghanaian creativity under one roof for purposes of meeting, exploring and sharing in real life.

So far the CONFABS have taken the form of keynote presentations by renowned creatives, portfolio reviews where participants present their creative portfolios to other participants to receive feedback on their creative work and more recently, a live creative session where participants get a glimpse of the creative process of fellow creatives.

These offer opportunities for networking collaboration and discovery. We have organised and successfully held 5 of such events with attendance numbers leaping from 9 creatives in our maiden event in 2012 to 200 creatives in our last and most recent event in November 2014, fast becoming the must attend event for creatives to meet and share their work. Event details:Date: Saturday, 16th May, 2015,Venue: British Council AuditoriumTime: 11am-6pmThe event will be a 6 hour event made up of 3 main sessionsSession 1Keynote Speakers/ Panel discussion:This session is aimed at getting insight into the business of creativity with an emphasis on how to make ideas happen. In this session, we invite outstanding individuals who have chalked remarkable success in their various creative disciplines to deliver 15 minute presentations. The invited speakers and topics are as follows:1. Joe Osae Addo (Architect and Chairman of Archi-Afrika) on Creativity and Activism2. Emmanuel Agbeko Gamor (Youtube specialist) on New Digital Possibilities                                                                                                             3. Aisha Ayensu (Fashion designer- Christie Brown) on her road to international fashion success.4. Panel discussion on patency and copyright issues (Deputy Minister, GAMRO Representative, Lawyer, Creative)These presentations will focus very much on actionable tips that can help participants advance their own creative careersSession 2Portfolio reviews: Register to participate hereThis session is part of the worldwide Behance Portfolio Reviews events where participants are given the opportunity topresent their creative portfolios to their peers to receive insightful feedback. Presenters are given a 5 minute time slot withinwhich to present their portfolios and another 5 minutes to receive feedback from their peers all in a very relaxed and semiformal atmosphere. This gives participants an opportunity to showcase their work, receive insightful feedback, a chance at getting commissions or getting hired and opportunity for collaboration.Session 3Live Creative SessionsThis offers participants a first-hand peek into the creative processes of different creative professionals. There will be five different activities happening simultaneously with a cocktail and networking sessions. The activities will include:1. Fashion photography shoot2. Live digital painting3. 3d modeling4. DJ mixing5. Exhibitions
