Accra Academy wins Vodafone Icons High School Edition

Students from the Accra Academy beat off competition from five other schools to win this year’s High School Edition of the Vodafone Icons.

 

Accra Academy has emerged winner of this year’s High School Edition of the Vodafone Icons.

The school beat five others to win the ultimate at a colourful event held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday.

Accra Academy was given a music studio as the prize and will represent Ghana at the Global Vodafone High School Competition in Turkey.

Ashanti region’s Osei Tutu came second while Adisadel College from the Central region placed third. Each of the participants from the three schools will enjoy scholarship from Vodafone.

Other awards

Best Instrumentalist went to Obeng Tutu while Isaac Nyamekye was adjudged Best male vocalist.
