In politics, fashion is seen as a tool for propagating one's beliefs and ideas, especially for women. This is because most politicians have come to realise the importance of their appearance as an asset to their success.

In Ghana even though all ministers of state and their deputies look good in their choice of clothes, some have outshined the rest. Pulse.com.gh has listed the stylish and fashionable female ministers in the Mahama-led administration.

Below are the most stylish Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State in the NDC government. The list is in no particular order of preference.

1. Abla Dzifa Gomashie

Abla Dzifa Gomashie is one of the very down to earth government appointees you may ever come across. Her style though simple is very appealing. Her pick of accessories for everything she wears will leave you wanting to dress like her. But one of her essential accessories is her smile; she wears it no matter what she is where she is. Keep smiling Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative art it makes you Bea-u-ti-ful all day, every day.

2. Hannah Tetteh

Hannah Tetteh usually sticks to one style especially when it comes to her African prints, which she wears a lot of the time. But her accessories stand out on any day. She does her best to look simple, but her elegance cannot be taken away from her. She doesn’t make “noise” with accessories. She is just simple yet elegant.

3. Joyce Bawa Mogtari

This woman looks trendy effortlessly. The ebony looking, Deputy Minister of Transport, is stylish but not loud in her choice of clothes and accesories. She usually will go for very light makeup with few or no accessories, but still looks pretty.

4. Mona Quartey

She also loves African prints and very often sticks to similar styles. But the grace that comes with her looks makes it attractive and very fashionable. Her choice of hairstyles is one that makes her look good on any day. She also wears an infectious smile most of the time, and that brings some class to the looks.

5. Nana Oye Lithur

The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection has not only made her ministry known only by their works but also by her taste of fashion since she assumed the position in 2013. She never disappoints with her looks. As the Ghanaian slang goes “she is always on point”. Whoever her stylists are I recommend she keeps them to continue the good job.
