Custom-designed Harley Davidson pizza delivery motorcycles arrive in Ghana

In three short weeks the American Dream “hogs”- built from one of America’s most iconic and visible brands - will be cruising the highways and byways of Accra delivering authentic New York City pizza, universally considered to be the best in the world.

The bikes are patterned after America’s most iconic motorcycle, the “Captain America” Chopper, featured in the classic movie, Easy Rider.

The bikes - fabricated in Brooklyn, New York - are believed to be the only Harley Davidson pizza delivery bikes in the world and, without question, the most beautiful. ---- Currently sailing the high seas and soon to join Famous Famiglia Ghana’s arsenal of food delivery vehicles is the “Slice of America” pizza truck, believed to be the most technologically advanced food truck ever built. In addition to offering a mouth-watering menu of Italian fare and on-demand tap-fresh Star, the largest selling Ghanaian-brewed beer, and Heineken, one of the world’s most popular brands, the truck will offer satellite TV, mobile 4G Wi-Fi, video games, phone charging stations, and a state-of-the-art sound system.

It is no coincidence that Ghana - the Black Star of Africa - was chosen as the launch country for Famous Famiglia’s entry into Africa. Driving the selection was the close relationship between Ghana and the United States, evidenced by the fact that America is home to the largest number of Ghanaians living outside Ghana’s borders. Other nods to Ghana were its political stability, diversity, well-educated population, and a large number of colleges and universities, making it the true “Gateway to Africa.”

Not only will Famous Famiglia be creating hundreds if not thousands of jobs with its presence in the Ghanaian market, proceeds from pizza sales will also support, among other things, CleanAcwa, a major clean water initiative in Africa.

Famous Famiglia’s Africa entry is led by New York City natives Daniel W. Isaacs, an attorney, and his brother Douglas, an emergency room physician. “Not only are we bringing ‘New York City’s Favorite Pizza’ to Africa,” Isaacs said, “but we’ll be delivering a real slice of New York City to the Ghanaian people - who deserve nothing less - while offering a unique experience through our menu offerings as well as in our commitment to customer service. This is part of our long-term strategy to bring the only authentic New York pizza to a thriving African market and to serve as good emissaries for America itself.”
