Watch how this guy broke the World Record for pull-ups in one minute
Adam Sandel's form is picture perfect as he busts out nearly a pull-up per second.
It doesn't matter if you were the guy who could bust out 10 without breaking a sweat, or if you were the one whose arms were quaking after a single rep.
We all know that pull-ups are way harder than they look, and anyone who can knock out say, any amount above 25, is boasting some serious strength. But what about 51 in 60 seconds? That'd be the Guinness World Record for most pull-ups in a minute, set by Brookline, Massachusetts, resident Adam Sandel. Watch Sandel complete his feat in the video below.
This video is nuts. Sandel coasts through 40, and then he starts popping them out one at a time until he bests the previous record of 50. Throughout, his form is picture perfect, as he goes from a straight-armed dead hang to a bent-armed hold with little movement in his torso. According to the Guinness website, Sandel set this benchmark back in December 2016, but Guinness only recently posted the record-breaking video to their YouTube page.
Whether or not this video brings you back to fond or painful memories of your relationship with the pull-up, it's hard to deny there's a lot to love about the classic exercise. It's virtually equipment-free, the movement itself is pretty basic, and it's a great benchmark for determining overall strength. (This man even celebrated his 90th birthday by knocking out a cool 24.)
