10 good questions to ask your boyfriend

1. Where do you like to hang out when you are not with me?

You can tell a lot about a man by the company he keeps and where he hangs out, so this question could tell you a lot more than just what his favourite haunts are. If he hangs out in the roughest bar in town, playing pool, then that will tell you one thing, if he spends most of his free time in the local library, that will tell you something else about him.

2. Do you like kids?

This is another one of good questions to ask your boyfriend. If you are thinking that this might be a long term relationship, then checking out how he feels about children would be a good move. His answer will not only tell you if he might be interested in having children of his own, it will also give you an insight into the type of man he is. If he loves being around kids then he is most likely a kind and patient person, and someone who can let go and have some innocent fun.

3. Do you like cooking?

Well, if you are going to make this a permanent arrangement you need to know if you are going to get breakfast in bed! Apart from the obvious practical benefit of being a guy who can cook, it also tells you that he has no old fashioned hang-ups about whose job it is to do the cooking. If he cooks, then he’s probably also pretty good at taking in his share of the other household chores as well.

One of great questions to ask your boyfriend is: “What’s your idea of a perfect date?” Ask him this question and you’ll find out if he is romantic or not, and whether or not you have the same interests. If he thinks that he perfect romantic date is watching the big game in a sports bar, and you can’t stand sports at all, you might as well find out about it sooner rather than later.

Would he blow it all on a Bugatti Veyron, or would he share it amongst his family and give some to charity? This question could really show what type of guy he is and give you a good insight into his true character. It will tell you if he has a generous nature and if he is the type who would keep his feet on the ground and plan for the future.

If says he has none, then you know he certainly has one bad habit, and that’s not telling the truth. If he’s a heavy drinker and he smokes, and you can’t stand either you might as well find out now. On the other hand, if he says “falling for beautiful women like you”, you can either take that as a compliment, or a sign that he thinks he’s a bit of a ladies’ man.

8. Where do you think you will be in twenty years’ time?

This is another one of great questions to ask your boyfriend. Does this guy have plans, or is he content to carry on muddling through just as he is today? Whether he wants to save the world or make his millions, drive, ambition and passion are an important quality to have. This is a good question to ask so that you can find out if his ambitions for the future are compatible with yours.

9. What are your parents like?

One of good questions to ask your boyfriend is what are his parents like. No one can choose their parents, but what a man thinks about his mom and dad can be an indicator of whether or not he is a family kind of guy. It’ll also give you a chance to find out a bit more about his past and where he came from.

10. What does love mean to you?

This is a pretty deep question and it should provoke a bit of thought on his part. Hopefully, he will be a man who understands what love is and cherishes it. If he gives you a sensible and honest answer to this question it could tell you a lot about your boyfriend.
