Who Won What At The SAG Awards 2015?

The 21 annual Screen Actors Guild awards which took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last Sunday night saw Uzo Aduba, Kevin Spacey, Julianne Moore and other nominees sweep away awards.

The ceremony which is the final big American film and TV awards ceremony before the Oscars is most likely to tell who will make away with an award at the Academy awards in a month’s time.

According to reports, Uzo Aduba who was known as Suzan “scary eyes” in the Netflix series “Orange is the new black” won the best female actor in the comedy series whiles Patricia Arquette won the outstanding performance by a female actor in supporting role in the drama film, “Boyhood”.

The outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series went to “Orange is the new black” whiles outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture went to “Birdman”.

J.K. Simmons won the outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role in Whiplash with William H. Macy taking home the award for the outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series, Shameless.

Outstanding performance by a male actor in a television movie or miniseries went to Mark Ruffalo in The Normal Heart whiles outstanding performance by a female actor in a television movie or miniseries went to Frances McDormand in Olive Kitteridge.

Outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series was won by Kevin Spacey who played the role of the monstrous president Francis Underwood in the Netflix series House of Cards.

Outstanding performance by a female actor in leading role went to Julianne Moore in the movie Still Alice and outstanding performance by a female actor in drama series was won by Viola Davis in how to get away with murder.

Unbroken took away the award for the outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture with Game of thrones winning the outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in comedy or drama series and Downton Abbey winning outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.

Eddie Redmayne won the outstanding performance by a male actor in a motion picture, The Theory of Everything and the life time achievement was given to Hollywood veteran Debbie Reynolds.
