Kacey Moore spits 83 bars on “Bass”

Kacey Moore has just released the audio for “Bass” online accompanied with a world class music video which is directed by a woman.

Kacey Moore - Bass

Ex “Big Brother Africa” housemate and award winning Songwriter/Poet Kacey Moore’s new offering titled “Bass” will blow your mind. Barely a few weeks after the release of his most talked about single in Ghana “African Lady” featuring legendary music producer Zapp Mallet, which is still making waves all across Africa; Kacey still refuses to conform to the conventional ways of doing music.

His new single has just one instrument in the entire song and it’s not a piano or an acoustic guitar. His instrument of choice was the Bass guitar played by his personal guitarist Nee Mants3.

As if this was not enough, the song which was recorded live at EMOH Recording Studios has no chorus. Defying the rules of music even more, Kacey writes 83 bars on a single song.

Normally a rapper will write 16 bars, 32 bars or 64 bars shared between two rappers on a single record, however, this crazy lyricist writes 83 bars on a single song absent chorus. This is the first time any lyricist has done anything like that in Africa and the world -- combining three different languages on one song.

Put that on record. The song which has varying themes talks about love, hard work, pride, jealousy, hate, deception, respect etc.

Kacey Moore has just released the audio for “Bass” online accompanied with a world class music video which is directed by a woman; yes a woman. SHERATED is the first Ghanaian female music video director.

“There is a subtle theme in the video, I hope you catch it,” Kacey Moore tells Pulse.com.gh
