"Charterhouse Should Show Some Respect To Some People"

“I think Charterhouse should not just rate their awards in Accra, they should at least show some respect to some people too,” Hip-life artiste Akoo Nana said

Ghanaian hiplife musician, Akoo Nana has expressed dissatisfaction at the exclusion of his song ‘Mi Yadawo’ which features Castro in the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nominees list.

He said in an interview with Hitz News that, he was surprised the song did not appear in the ‘Highlife Song of the Year’ category.

“No one can tell me R2bess –Lobi, Afriyie – I Do, 4×4 – Baby Dance Feat. Davido is bigger than my song, I was crazy that day at the VGMA launch”, he complained.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) was launched last Friday at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Akoo Nana was certain that the song was supposed to be included because it enjoyed massive air-play across the country.

“And moreover, it was a motivational song for the Black Stars during the AFCON 2015 tournament. If it weren’t to be Aboagye who asked me to be calm, they wouldn’t have taken it easy with me” he added.

Meanwhile, the head of Media, Brands and Communication at Charterhouse, George Quaye called on artistes to respect them.

“I think Charterhouse should not just rate their awards in Accra, they should at least show some respect to some people too”, he said.
