Joey B Accused Of Stealing “Otoolege” Beat

According to a publication online, popular Hip-hop artiste, Joey B stole “Otoolege” beat

Rapper and songwriter, Truth, produced a song titled ‘Nokware’ produced by Dare and Slimbo. The song was released somewhere in August, 2014. Fast forward to the 18th of December, 2014, Joey B released his ‘Otoolege’ song with beat and rhythm from the samples of ‘Nokware.’

Argument raised by the publication isn’t to create a setting for a surreal interactive discourse on issues that affect the Ghanaian music industry. They are only wondering where the ‘stealing’ is coming from.

Many entertainment pundits and music enthusiasts think the beat was stolen by DJ Breezy and Joey B didn’t know of it or vice versa.

This is not the first copyright infringement issue surrounding the rapper. Late last year, he was accused of plagiarism on his breakthrough single “Tongo”. It was revealed that, Kobi Rana was first to perform “Tonga”.
