Official DJ of Sarkodie, Michael ‘DJ Mensah’ in an exclusive interview with YFMGhana.com has revealed the DJing industry like the Music industry lacks unity.

The untouchable DJ who tours heavily alongside Sarkodie says he wants to change the game just as his artiste is changing the music industry.

“Sarkodie wants to change the game” he explained. “He was having the same issues I’m having now with my colleagues and he thought he should reach out to them and show them how it’s done. If you go to Nigeria and a promoter messes up with an artist, every artist will boycott that promoter but in Ghana it’s different. When a promoter messes you up, the other artists or DJs don’t care and will continue to deal with that promoter. Our Nigerian brothers show that support.”

The DJ also known widely for his Official All White Party continued; “Sarkodie and I travel a lot and these are the experiences we get from most of the places and it feels so bad when we travel and we have seven Nigerian acts and only one Ghanaian act. He wants things to change. That’s why he collaborates with his fellow artists and tweet about their songs to his followers. He does this so his fans worldwide know there is such and such who also raps or sings. He also wants the foreigners who follow him to know he is not the only Ghanaian artist.”
