Hip-Hop mogul finally acquires streaming company

The legendary rapper expands his portfolio into the music streaming business.

Iconic Hip-Hop figure and legendary rapper Jay Z has finally had his bid for ownership of the Swedish streaming company Aspiro has been accepted.

Jay Z's initial bid was rejected by the minority shareholders because Project Panther Bidco, a subsidiary of Shawn Carter Enterprises owned by Jay Z upfront with “its plans for international expansion” and “the calculations that went into the initial $56 million bid.”

The $56m bid has now been accepted by the shareholders. Aspiro is a Swedish company that owns the streaming services of Tidal and WiMP.
