We can all testify that High Life is the only music genre in Ghana that projects more of our culture but currently, it is the only genre which has few dominants.

No wonder Veteran Jazz Musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley has lamented over poor recognition given to the Ghanaian music especially “highlife” on the International music platforms.

Bisa Kdei, a high life musician from Ghana who is currently taking Gh to the world with his good writing songs after the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Meets Naija revealed how High Life has been underrated in Ghana.

Explaining his observation in a radio interview, Bisa said, amongst all the music genres we have in Ghana, it is only the genre of High Life which is selling the image of our country to the world, and in regard to this, he doesn’t understand why High Life has been given less attention as compared to the other music genres.

According to the Pimpinaa singer, if massive attention is given to the High Life genre, it will encourage and motivate more talented youth to adapt that style which can sell our own.

Rex Omar, another High Life King few days ago talked about how Nigerians have taken over High Life.

These legendries are not wrong with their observations because in recent times, it is almost impossible to find youths in Ghana boasting with their high life repertoire.

But not for Emmanuel Baafour, who happens to be a talented singer, song writer and with his God-giving melodic voice, has decided to be an addition to the high life world.

After listening to some works of Baafour, it is of no doubt that he can fit in almost every music genre down here but has rather gone in for the High Life tag because, that is what he will be delivering more.

Currently signed under Mugen Vision Entertainment, Baafour will be releasing his first single off MVE in some few days ahead.

His upcoming song is titled Besie, produced by 1Kwame and was written by himself.
