Jay Quayson ready to take the music scene by surprise

Multi-talented Ghanaian singer and songwriter Jay Quayson is poised to burst onto the mainstream music scene.

Dwelling on an inspiration he believes comes from his family bloodline, Quayson sees music as something his family possesses as his elder sisters Rose and Mary even tried to work on an album before they both got into marriage and had to make time for their husbands and family stuff.

After SHS, young Quayson found himself at P&M studio in Takoradi and that's when he got into full time professional recording and song writing. He later formed a group called ‘’Adinkra’’, the duo music group released its first album in 2006 titled "Sailor’’. This album did quite well in the western and central regions but couldn’t make it to the national platform.

However, they separated after their firs project and in pursuit of his music dreams Quayson left his birth home to make that aspiration a reality.

Finding himself in Accra, Tema Comm11 to be specific, the singer ended up working under Kaywa, a renowned producer known for multiple hits and awards.

Now signed to Gbevu Music Group (GMG) in the Uk, Quayson is currently working on an album and is set to drop a single very soon.

The song talks about women being likened to paradise .The paradise in women is not the V-shape manipulation between their legs, or the two lovely bombs, set on their bosom that can blast any strong, holy spirit filled individual, but that part of her that cannot be described, yet can only be felt.

He states, "Paradise" is currently my new single that I expect the world and most especially Ghanaians to have a feel of.’’

Jay Quayson is a singer/songwriter, who truly embodies the honesty and fresh organic soulfulness that’s been in relatively short supply of late in contemporary music.
