Pat Thomas set to release self-titled LP album in Europe

Veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician, Pat Thomas, has finally dropped his self-titled LP "Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band" album.

Multiple award-winning Highlife musician, Pat Thomas has finally released his anticipated self-titled "Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band" -- his first internationally released studio album, recorded in Accra with his band, the Kwashibu Area Band.

Directors Kwame Yeboah and Ben Abarbanel-Wolff add superb new compositions and re-arrange some of Thomas’ ‘80s compositions for a full live band.

Speaking on "Saturday Live", he told the host, Kojo Akoto Boateng, that "the album would be ready by the end of June 2015 but it will not be released in Ghana -- it will be released in Europe".

The recording company is in France and they want to begin with an European release.According to the label Strut Records, “the new studio album from West African music legend Pat Thomas is shaping up to be one of the most exciting releases of the year.”

This is his sixteenth (16th) album if it’s successfully released. He recently released a track titled "Gyae Su" of the LB album.
