Phabrick, who is M.anifest’s cousin, was unveiled by a multimedia company Base Dynasty at a ceremony held at Villa Monticello in Accra on Saturday, April 29.

Disclosing what influenced the label’s decision to sign Phabrick, the C.E.O of Base Dynasty, Dorothy Amoah said the young rapper was signed due to his lyrical prowess and level of confidence.

She told Pulse.com.gh that: “Lyrically, I think Phabrick is really strong. He has the level of confidence that I think any artiste needs. There’s a lot of great performers out there but you have to have a full package and I think people can relate to him. I thought he had the spot or something really special about him.”

Speaking about Phabrick’s appeal on the market, Dorothy Amoah said: “He has to appeal to the local market so we’ve got tracks on his albums which include dance tracks. Primarily he’s a Hip-hop artiste but there’s a little bit of soul in his music. But I don’t want him to deviate from his Hip-hop. I think at the core, that’s who he is.”

Dorothy also divulged that even though the industry is a very tough one, they have put things in place to help him survive.

“I do think he can survive that’s why I signed him. You have to be relevant…you have to stay current. You can’t go dormant in this industry; you have to just be on top of the game. We have a plan and we have a lot in store, trust me.

“The goal is to make him crossover and I think he has that style,” she concluded.
