Ghanaian producer, Quesi Anim Mensah has scored platinum with a hit song he co-produced titled "Laag/Boven".

Quesi is part of producer-trio called MAFQEES. He produced the song for SBMG, a popular rap group from the Netherlands.

The song went gold two months ago, and now it has reached the platinum status.

The video has over 11 million views and on spotify it’s approaching 8 million plays.

Quesi is not the only Ghanaian expatriate to achieve this feat.

In July this year, Chicago-born Ghanaian Songwriter, Adrew ‘Dilla’ Bonsu was honoured for writing a portion of "Oui", an R&B track performed by American singer and rapper, Jeremih.
