Internationally acclaimed rapper, Kwame Ametepee Tsikata aka M.anifest, has been named in The Guardian Newspaper’s top five stars in “The Sound Of Africa In 2015” list alongside young songstress, Esi.

M.anifest, who was placed 2nd on the list, is currently the foremost rapper on the African continent. The rapper who managed to partially dominate the 2014 music year in the Ghana music industry released two hot videos – “No Shortcut To Heaven” featuring rap legend Obrafour and “Someway Bi”. His international collaboration “Jigah” with South Africa’s celebrated producer Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) has given him a new shape and face in his career. In 2014, he performed on countless international stages in European countries such as Spain, Germany, Italy, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, France, Serbia, America, Poland, and Switzerland. He has been billed to perform at this year’s Design Indaba Festival in Cape Town, South Africa come February 26. He has already kick-started this year with the visuals for “Mind Games”.

15-year-old inspirational singer, Elizabeth Esi Awotwe, popularly known on stage as Esi is on the verge to stardom after the release of her debut single “Dream”—a song written by Castro, the hip-life artiste who went missing since April 2014 after a water-skiing accident. The singer, who started singing at the age of 8, hit the limelight when she emerged the winner of 2011 edition of TV3’s Talented Kidz -- securing her a record deal. She’ll be performing alongside some of the best contemporary African musicians – from Nigeria’s Wande Coal and Ice Prince – at the SXSW Music Festival in Los Angeles in March.

Other top African acts named in the list include Nigeria’s sensational Pop singer Yemi Alade and Dancehall King Patoranking. South African hardcore rapper, Cassper Nyovest who had a stellar year in 2014 was also included in the list.
