Mike Akox is a 25-year old Ghanaian born, but based in Australia Afro Beat star. Mike Akox grew up in Kumasi and attended Komfo Anokye Boarding School before moving to Australia.

Akox won the best upcoming artist at the Afro Australian Music & Movie Awards (AAMMA). Winning alongside great acts like Desmond Elliot, John Dumelo, Awilo Logomba and Pascal Atoma just to mention a few. Akox also won the Best Vocalist at the 2015 AAMMA winning alongside Vivica A. Fox, Ramsey Nouah and Tim Omaji.

Inspired by his uncle Papashee a musical legend from Ghana who was know by his use of controversial lyrics in his works and his hit songs (“Atadwe” (2000), “Koyon so” (2002), “Ate pa” (2004) plus a DVD compilation in 2005.

Mike Akox is set to release his new Afro beat song titled “Le Lele” this year.
